Black Cat Voodoo is a one-woman, two-cat operation based in Abilene, Texas—where creativity, curiosity, and a little bit of chaos come together to create something beautiful.

My journey with jewelry started back in the mid-to-late 1990s, when I first fell in love with beading. Life eventually led me down a different path and my tools were set aside for a while . . . but creativity has a way of finding its way back.

In 2024, everything reignited.

What started as a curiosity about Czech glass beads quickly turned into a full-blown passion. Their color, detail, and artistry pulled me back in—and before long, I was exploring new materials, new techniques, and new ideas. From there, I discovered lampwork glass, and something just clicked. There’s something magical about glass shaped by fire, and it opened the door to a whole new creative direction I’m still growing into.

Along the way, I also became fascinated by gemstones—the way no two are ever exactly alike, the subtle variations in color and pattern, and the quiet beauty that only nature can create. That appreciation has become a big part of my work, blending natural elements with handcrafted design to create pieces that feel both grounded and expressive.

In the spring of 2025, the cats and I packed up our lives and moved from California to Texas for a fresh start. Our new home gave us something we didn’t have before—space to dream bigger, create more, and build something of our own.

Every piece you’ll find here is made by hand in that space. No mass production. No rushing. Just thoughtful, small-batch creations designed to feel a little special when you wear them.

This brand is fueled by music playing in the background, moments of inspiration that show up out of nowhere, and yes . . . the occasional cat zoomies across the workspace.
